Hey guys, I have a really quick review of the new L’Oreal pure clay purity wash cleanser. I have seen they came out with these not too long ago and really wanted to try them as I have tried their pure clay masks before and fell in love so once the cleanser I was using ran out I decided to pick it up.
They have different cleansers but the one I decided to go for was the green one. This cleanser has three different pure clays combined with eucalyptus. The clays this cleanser has are Kaolin, Montmorillonite, Ghassoul and the Eucalyptus extract. I decided to do a bit of research and according to L’Oréal’s website this is what these ingredients can do for your skin.
kaolin: highly effective natural clay known to absorb impurities and excess sebum.
Montmorillonite: rich in minerals, a clay recognised for helping to eliminate imperfections.
Ghassoul: a pure clay highly concentrated in minerals, renowned to help clarify complexion.
Eucalyptus: known for its purifying properties.
How to apply
I use it twice a day, in the morning when I wake up and at night after taking my makeup off. The product comes out the tube and feels like a cream but once it comes in contact with warm water it transforms into like a milky foamy texture. I use both hands to massage it onto my skin specially around my nose, chin and forehead.
What does it do for your skin?
The claims of this product are
• clearer skin
• fresher skin
• mattifying of skin/skin without excess oil
• non drying
• eliminate impurities/makeup
I have been using it twice a day for 5 days now and I can honestly say this is amazing!! I was having some breakouts around my chin and cheeks and this managed to calm my skin, the redness was gone and after 2 days the breakouts were all gone.
Once I rinse the product I can feel a tightness in my skin straight away, the excess oil is gone in seconds and it really does mattify your face specially the annoying T zone that can get too oily sometimes.
Every time after using this product my skin feels 10 times more cleaner and I ran once a cotton pad with some micellar water and my face was spotless clean.
The only “downside” I can think of is that if your skin is not combination or oily this might not be the cleanser for you as this really does work and if your skin is dry to start with you will end up with dryer skin. If you do need some help to get rid of the oils in the T zone or extra shine you’ll love it! Although I recommend obviously going in with your skincare afterwards. I always use a hydrating serum and a hydrating moisturiser (the L’oreal hydra genius is amazing!)
I would totally recommend this cleanser if you are thinking this will suit you as it definitely does what it claims and I don’t know why it took me so long to get it! I got mine from ASOS but you can get it from Superdrug or Boots, the price tag is only £3.99 which I think is amazing for the quality and results of this product.
Let me know if you have used this or any of the L’oreal pure clay range and if you had the same amazing results as me or if you are going to pick this up next time! Thank you for reading me! Talk to you soon!
