Hey guys! Long time no read, I have been extremely busy the past few months, went for almost a month on holidays and then I was working on my master’s dissertation but I finally finished it and I hope now I have all the time in the world to actually do more posts on this blog.
I have bought a few new beauty bits and pieces that I have been loving and I think they are so worth it, some of them I have been using for the past couple of months but they are so good that I just wanted to share with you!
So the first thing I wanted to share with you is this amazing eyeshadow palette, I think I have been eyeing this palette for the longest time and I finally got my hands on it. It is the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette. My birthday is actually tomorrow August 29th so I got a discount from Cult beauty for my birthday this month and I knew I had to use it on this. This palette is stunning, all the colours are my kind of colours and I just think if you are a warm palette kinda gal you need this! – the colours I have used so far are crystal, transition, bestie, toffee, r u kitten me, brownie points, wine n dine, glamping and cranberry splash and I can say every single one of them is gorgeous on the eyes. The shimmer shadows are incredible and the mattes are so nice as well, everything is so pigmented and its really worth the buy.
The next thing is a combo: the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in sandstorm and the Maybelline eraser eye in nude. These two products have been my life saver, they last all day on my skin and give me a flawless under eye. I know a lot of people love them but if you are still wondering if you should pick them up I would say DO IT!
I love highlighter – it is definitely my favourite part when I’m doing my makeup. I have a few in my collection but the one I always love no matter what look I go for it’s this one from Becca in Champagne pop. The colour is incredible and it’s blinding, a bit pricey but its soooo worth it! And Becca is the best for highlighters.
Nude lipsticks are my absolute fave and I have been loving 2 of them lately. I got one from urban decay vice lipsticks line when I was on holiday in Cancun, it is a comfort in the shade 1993. This colour is described as a muted medium-brown but I think it has some mauve or pink undertones that make it so wearable and nice. This is my first time trying this formula and I love it! who would have known that matte lipsticks can be creamy? this shade is not the usual “nude” but I think it is definitely in the nude category.
The second one is hands down my favourite formula of liquid lipsticks I have ever tried. The Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in celebrity skin – it is my favourite nude and holy grail!
I have seen this glitter all over Instagram lately, used in so many creative ways I knew I had to get it so I took advantage of the duty-free at the airport and got it with with a bit of a discount. This Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter in the shade midnight cowboy is so comfortable on the eyes, it stays put and looks incredible. I really want to get more shades too!
I finally decided to invest in a good eyeshadow primer and I have always heard great things about the Mac paint pots so I decided to try them. Mine is in the shade soft ochre and I can definitely tell the difference in my eyeshadows now that I have been using it for a while, the colours are so much more pigmented, they don’t crease, last all day and it’s so good for those shimmery shadows that need and extra help!
Last but not least, the newest mascara release eeeeeveryone has been talking about, the L’Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara. I’m so picky when it comes to mascara because most of them don’t do a lot for my lashes but I decided to try this one and I have been using it for almost 2 weeks and I love it! it definitely makes your lashes look so long. I would recommend if you want to try it just do it, I don’t think you will regret it!
That’s it guys, my faves for this month. Have you tried them too? Do you love them as much as I do? Let me if they worked as good on you as on me and if you want to try them too.
Talk to you next time, thank you for reading me!
